Masai Mara | Kenya
This ten-day horse-riding safari explores some of Africa's best big game country from the rolling Loita Hills to the immense Masai Mara. The panoramas are quintessential to Kenya where acacia trees mushroom from the ground, giraffes elegantly lope across the earth, young Masai herders wrapped in bright, coloured shukas keep a watchful eye on their cattle and the horizon is dotted with herds of wildebeest, zebra, topi and eland. It’s a honey-pot for big game which amps the adrenalin up a notch. Riding across the Mara River is a true highlight of the ride.
Horses are well schooled thoroughbred and thoroughbred cross. Many of the horses are home bred and have all tried polo. The horses are responsive, extremely fit and tough.
