Feedback on the Bush & Beach Ride, Noosa

Noosa Bush & Beach Ride, Australia

I couldn’t wipe the smile off my face when I was reading through Kim Jenkins’ wonderful feedback form about her DEBUT Globetrotting adventure on our Bush & Beach Ride based out of Noosa on Australia’s Sunshine Coast, and just had to share it with you. She was rapt with Maisie, her equine pal for the week (and one very photogenic mare) and couldn’t fault our superstar guide Alex. If you’re toying with the idea of joining us on one of these departures, have a read of this. You’ll be reserving your saddle seat in NO time!

Were you happy with the globetrotting ride that was recommended to you or chosen by you?

Absolutely thrilled to bits!

Were there any stand-out experiences (good or bad) with the accommodation and meals that you would like to mention?

Cath and Gerard were wonderful hosts with good wholesome home cooking, loved them to bits. They were never in our faces, yet were always available if we needed anything. We were welcomed with open arms into their beautiful home and property.

Christine and Malcolm run a very smooth operation with fabulous food and attention to detail.

The RACV was above and beyond our expectations. Staff were outstanding.

Were you happy with the horse that you rode?

Maisie – I wanted to flat pack her into my bag as I have fallen in LOVE with her. She is now my Facebook profile 🙂

Were you happy with the standard of tack on the ride?

It was all in beautiful condition.

Did you have a favourite day or experience while on your Globetrotting holiday?

Ha! At the end of each day I said, “Well that was my favourite day.” It just kept ramping up and getting better.

If I had to choose it would have been the ride from Cooran to Pomona. I loved riding across the railway, through the little town into the State Forest and ending up in the Tidy Town of Pomona. It was a highlight for me tying the horses up in the local park and walking across the road to have a beautiful lunch in a cafe whilst proudly looking on at Maisie.

In respect to your guides, were you happy with their level of service, knowledge of the environment and hospitality?

Couldn’t fault the fabulous Alex and Rebecca Watson. What a gentleman and true Aussie Alex is. His knowledge of horses and his local area is incredible. He continually pointed out areas of interest and his knowledge of flora is nothing short of amazing. His cheery, fun personality never altered as he endeavoured to give us the best possible horseback riding holiday imaginable, which he pulled off in spades. Alex has the knack or gift of not micromanaging his group, yet remaining in control. I can’t imagine there is a better guide in this country. I actually miss his “I’ve got a story to tell you.”

In terms of value-for-money, how would you rate this particular ride?

Above expectations! The accommodation and food were the best value for money I’ve ever experienced on weekly rides. I feel Alex as well as Globetrotting are very generous with their time and money.

Do you have any further comments or suggestions?

If you are ever in Sydney, call me. I would LOVE to see you all again!

We would LOVE a testimonial about your globetrotting experience to share on our social media channels.

I first came across Kate at Equitana and my interest was piqued. I’m so happy with myself that I followed through and booked a ride with Globetrotting. The Noosa Bush to Beach ride with Alex Watson was above and beyond my expectations. His horses are highly trained and sure footed. I forged a wonderful bond with my mare, Maisie and wanted to keep her. The accommodation and food were above reproach. Don’t ponder about doing this ride – just book it!
