GLOBETROTTING THROUGH CANYONS & WATERFALLS
Nestled along the southern Atlantic coasts of Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul lies Brazil’s most expansive canyons. This seven day, six night ride takes place in a 28,000 hectare conservation area comprising of two parks, Aparados da Serra and Serra Geral.
Riding guests will traverse along steep mountain ranges, through world-famous canyons and tip-toe on the Atlantic coastline. Throughout the itinerary guests will stay in traditional ranches with the pleasure of sampling typical southern Brazilian gaucho culture which includes savouring some of the regions famous culinary delights.
During the ride guests will explore a range of diverse ecosystems of rare, untouched beauty and significant biodiversity. To paint a picture: the Mata Atlantica runs along the lower portion of the canyons, while bowling-green fields table the plateaus, interspersed by peat bogs, rich in moss, lichen and bamboo. Vegetation, such as ferns, lilies and bromeliads, grow wild and untamed from the mountains.
The region’s fauna is exotic to any tourist with rare species like the lobo-guará, the puma not to mention foxes, skunks, armadillos, wildcats, woodpeckers, hawks, bugio monkeys among others, are part of the local fauna. And for the bird enthusiasts there is an assortment of exotic birds

Why is the price quoted in US dollars?
With our overseas riding destinations (rides other than in Australia), the currency is dictated by our partner in that country. Therefore due to fluctuating exchange rates we have to quote in the same currency.
Please fly into Porto Alegre mid-morning on day one of your ride where you’ll be picked up by your guide. Departing flights can be booked from 1pm onwards on the final day.
