If you say ‘YES’ to this five day ride, you’ll be staying in Carmona, one of the famous white villages of Andalucia, Spain. Every night and stolen moments during the day {when we’re not in the saddle} as a globetrotting group we’ll explore this hilltop town that sparkles with noble palaces and majestic Mudéjar churches.  But I’m getting ahead of myself, let’s talk about the riding.

Andalucia is the birthplace of Spanish horse culture, so it comes as no surprise that on this riding itinerary, we’ll not only be mounted on the revered Andalusian horse, we’ll learn to dance to its majestic rhythm with the help of highly trained teachers that are adept at teaching to every ability and level. This itinerary is not just for highly-trained dressage riders, whether you’re a happy hacker, polo player (me) or beginner, you won’t feel out of your depth and regardless of ability, you’ll leave feeling more confident as a rider.

The classical training is then balanced with some ripping trail rides where we’ll be able to throw caution to the wind and float through Olive Groves, grassy meadows decorated in wild flowers, sunflower fields and seaside beach canters.

Out of the saddle, the Spanish cultural highlights are crazy good, one morning we’ll be front-row spectators to the famous Andalusian Stallions perform and our last evening will involve a road-trip to nearby Seville and experience a typical Flamenco Dancing show. Our hosts and guides, the Garcia family, open their 16th century Hacienda, and allow us to live and breathe their way of life – not only on an equestrian level but also in the food, lively evening entertainment and colourful village life of Carmona.

2018 ride rate:

Non-riders are welcome to join this departure at a non-riding rate of €855 per person.

A single supplement charge of €270 will apply (subject to availability) for guests not wanting to share a room.

PLEASE NOTE: the single supplement charge will apply to solo travellers if we do not have another guest willing to share.

*The price includes twin share accommodation, breakfast and lunch each day, dinner on the first evening only, riding, guided visits to Jerez and Donana, transfers to/from Santa Justa Train Station and tranfers from your hotel accommodation to the riding centre each day.

*The price does not include international or regional flights and travel insurance (compulsory) staff tips (please budget for around 10% of the ride price), dinner from Monday to Friday (our hotel accommodation is within walking distance to many bars and restaurants in Carmona so you’ll have your pick of amazing locations to eat) and tickets for the horse show in Jerez (€27) and the Flamenco Show (€35).

Accepted payment is by credit card only. There is a 2% surcharge on all credit card payments. Since you’ll be paying in a foreign currency, in this case EURO, we believe paying via credit card is the most cost effective and easiest option for you.

Why is the price quoted in European Euro?

With our overseas riding destinations (rides other than in Australia), the currency is dictated by our partner in that country. Therefore due to fluctuating exchange rates we have to quote in the same currency.

Complimentary transfers are available from Santa Justa Train Station in Seville only. Pick up time on day 1 is at 4.30pm (just outside the AVIS rent-a-car office which is INSIDE the station). If you fly into Seville airport you will need to take a shuttle bus to the train station in time for the pick up at 4.30pm, or take a taxi straight to the hotel in Carmona (we can help arrange this through our outfitter for approximately €45).

On the final day the transfer to the train station will depart your hotel at 8.00am. If you intend on flying out from Seville this day, please don’t book any departing flights before 12 midday.
