Africa | Kenya
crossing the Mara river with a pod of singing hippos upstream
cantering up sandy river beds fringed with acacias
being hypnotised by Masai warriors dancing at sunset
weaving through a herd of curious giraffes
inhaling the heady scent of dust and rain as a storm brews on the horizon
Kenya is a land of shiny, happy people that will have you smiling from the day you land to the day you leave. A country that wears its heart on its sleeve, that's rich with life, colour, adventure and culture. Kenya is full to the brim with wildlife and captivating, diverse landscapes. A country that can only be truly appreciated on a horse riding safari where the rider is at one with the wild, sharing the same sights, scents and sounds. Seeing the animal kingdom through the eyes of your horse. You seriously need to ditch the 4x4 and jump on a horse to truly breathe Kenya's true colours.
We have three properties that we recommend for horse riding safaris in Kenya. On each of the three properties the horses are experienced safari mounts, exceptionally fit and forward going. It is the terrain and landscapes at the properties that differ.
