The largest and certainly the most fun polo tournament in Europe, Chestertons Polo in the Park, is held at Hurlingham Park in England each year across three days in June and is open to the general public. The event kicks off with ‘Chukka Friday’, featuring three afternoon polo matches. Saturday is Ladies Day with another three fixtures, whilst Sunday is Finals Day. With teams representing six different countries from around the world, the rivalry is fierce and the action exhilarating.

There are bars with direct views of the polo field, a bunch of gourmet food outlets, and make sure you have your credit card handy because the Luxury Shopping Village opens its doors for that ‘must have’ polo field fashion. The rules of the game are tweaked slightly to add to the spectacle and to help newcomers understand the game.

Chestertons Polo in the Park is a quintessentially British summer sporting and social occasion, so get your affairs in order, head to the UK and rub shoulders with international polo players riding some of the world’s best polo ponies as they thunder across the turf.
