These Terms & Conditions supplement Globetrotting’s standard Terms & Conditions and apply to all ‘Globetrotting with the Stars’ rides. Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully. You must not make any booking with Globetrotting Pty Ltd unless you understand and agree with these Terms & Conditions. By proceeding with your booking, you are accepting these Terms & Conditions and Globetrotting’s standard Terms & Conditions in their entirety.
In these Terms & Conditions:
- a reference to “we”, “us” and/or “our” is a reference to Globetrotting Pty Ltd; and
- a reference to “you” or “your” is a joint and several reference to the leader of your group as nominated in the Booking Form (“Party Leader”) and each individual participant specified in the Booking Form (“Rider”).
1 Security arrangements
1.1 Globetrotting with the Stars offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to ride alongside equestrian celebrities, top riders, and renowned horsemen and women (Celebrities). You acknowledge that because of their public profile and status, each Celebrity will have unique and specific safety and security requirements with which you must comply.
1.2 As a condition of participation in the ride you must:
(a) provide a criminal background check for each Rider that is no more than [6] months old at the time of making a booking;
(b) promptly provide all background and identifying information requested and consent to us providing that information to the Celebrity and to additional background checks being conducted by us or the Celebrity; and
(c) ensure that each Rider complies with any specific safety and security requirements provided to you relating to participation in the ride and interaction with the Celebrity (Security Protocols).
1.3 We may cancel your booking:
(a) at any time before the commencement of the ride if the Celebrity requests us to do so, in which case you will receive a full refund; or
(b) at any time after the commencement of the ride, and exclude you from further participation in the ride, if you breach the Security Protocols, in which case no refund will be payable to you.
2 Changes or cancellation by the Celebrity
2.1 You acknowledge that the Celebrity may become unable to participate in the scheduled ride due to other commitments. If that occurs, we will seek to reschedule the ride and advise you of the rescheduled dates as soon as possible. If you are unable to participate in the ride on the rescheduled dates, or we are unable to reschedule the ride, to the extent recoverable we will provide a refund on the terms set out in clause 7.7 of the standard booking Terms & Conditions.
3 Content production
3.1 You acknowledge and agree that we or the Celebrity or both may produce photographic, videographic and written content related to the ride that may include images of and stories about you and the ride. You agree that we and the Celebrity may post that content on websites and social media platforms and we may produce and use that content for marketing purposes.
3.2 Unless the Security Protocol permits you to do so, you must not take any photographs or videos of the Celebrity and must not display, post or use any of the photograph, images or other content that you produce in relation to the ride in any form or on any media or platform.
3.3 If the Security Protocol permits you to take photographs or videos of the Celebrity or to produce and post content related to the ride, then you must only do so in accordance with the requirements of the Security Protocol and you must tag @globetrotting.com.au in all social media posts. If you share or post any content in breach of the Security Protocol, you must immediately take down or delete that content if requested to do so by us or the Celebrity.
4 Travel insurance and fully flexible bookings
4.1 Given the potential for cancellation on short notice by the Celebrity, as a condition of participation in the ride you must:
(a) within 48 hours of being approved to participate in the ride:
(i) take out comprehensive, cancel for any reason travel insurance cover which covers personal liability, loss of luggage and personal effects, horse riding and related activities, cancellation of the holiday, inability to participate because of cancelled or delayed travel, personal injury, death, medical expenses, repatriation expenses and evacuation expense irrespective of whether you are travelling in your home country or abroad; and
(ii) provide us with the details of your travel insurance policy including the name of the insurer, policy number and emergency contact number before your departure date; and
(b) ensure that all fight and accommodation bookings are fully flexible and / or cancellable without penalty.
4.2 We accept no responsibility or liability for your failure to take out appropriate insurance, or for any inadequacies in the scope of that insurance coverage.
