‘As a mum of two young children and working full-time, life gets busy. I loved riding in my teens and longed to jump on and go for a ride. Last year, my best friend, with whom I grew up riding, and I both turned 40 and decided what a way to celebrate! After three amazing days with beautiful horses, an incredible group of people, plenty of laughs, amazing food, and so many new experiences, we boarded the bus home. My best friend looked over to me and said, “I’m so pleased we both had the best time.” I burst into tears and said that for me, it was so much more; it was a few days where I felt I reconnected with my own identity outside of being a mum, a leader at work, and a wife. This experience has been so much more to me than “just a few days away”; it’s been life-changing.’
