‘This riding trip was incredibly special to me, taking almost five years to materialise. It was my birthday present to myself. Everything exceeded my expectations and more. The food was superb and truly wholesome, and the accommodation was excellent. I was matched with Ranger, who was absolutely gorgeous and very similar to a gelding I ride at home. He was so attentive and generous; I absolutely loved him. He was forward when needed yet calm at the same time. It was marvellous to ride bitless and barefoot horses. I would have loved to learn more about horsemanship. I would describe this as a spiritual and meditative experience, being one with my riding partner.’
