Feedback on The Kimberley Ride

The Kimberley Ride, Australia

Monica Foster is a die-hard globetrotter who never misses a chance to explore a stunning part of the world from the back of a well-trained horse. Her most recent Globetrotting adventure saw her discovering one of Australia’s most remote and beautiful regions on The Kimberley Ride. Keen to find out more? Check out her testimonial below.

Were you happy with the Globetrotting ride that was recommended to you or chosen by you?
YES!

Were there any stand-out experiences (good or bad) with the accommodation and meals that you would like to mention?
Ronnie did an amazing job providing us with so much food the entire time. Christian did his fair share too, making his amazing risotto.
The swags were just fantastic too. So warm and cozy and the stretcher helped just that little bit, not being completely on the ground. There really was nothing better than falling asleep looking at the stars.
The rooms at Emma Gorge were lovely as well. It almost felt a bit strange to be back in civilisation, where you had to be careful what you said because there were other tourists around! But all in all it was a beautiful little resort. The swags were still my favourite though!

Were you happy with the horse/s that you rode?
Bonnie was an absolute doll. As were so many of the other horses, but I wouldn’t have swapped her for anyone else’s horse. She was very eager at the start, then really calmed down and we just connected by the end of the ride. I love her!!

Were you happy with the standard of tack on the ride?
Yes. I think if anyone complains about the tack they’re crazy! These were some of the most comfortable saddles I have ever ridden in. I would seriously consider buying one for myself if I ever got myself a horse.

Did you have a favourite day or experience while on your Globetrotting holiday?
Excuse me? What type of question even is this? This question is like asking you to pick a favourite pet. Each and every day was different and unique. Travelling across different landscapes, travelling around in small groups, crossing rivers and rocks – it was my type of paradise. Who needs a beach and relaxing resorts when you have horses and the amazing Australian outback?

In respect to your guides, were you happy with their level of service, knowledge of the environment and hospitality?
Gwen, Kiri, Christian, Laura, Robyn, Ronnie and Lee were fantastic. Laura provided us with so much information in the vehicles while we travelled back and forth from El Questro. The others just pulled out all these stories and facts from nowhere. It was fantastic. Couldn’t fault them.
I should also mention Piper. She just bought so much happiness to the team. A beautiful pup!

In terms of value-for-money, how would you rate this particular ride?
Hands down 15/10.
Everything you could possibly want from an outback horse ride was right there. Take all my savings right now. I’d do this ride 100 times over!

Do you have any further comments or suggestions?
I can’t thank Kate enough for coming up with the amazing idea of Globetrotting. Where would I be if i hadn’t learned about this? Probably sitting on a beach somewhere in a resort not surrounded by horses. Thank you.

We would LOVE a testimonial about your Globetrotting experience to share on our social media channels.
Warm days. Rocky roads. Open flats. Beautiful horses. Amazing staff. Plenty of new friends. Amazing food. A few sneaky surprises. It’s impossible to sum up a trip like this.
Not only are we lucky enough to experience the best of what Australia has to offer, we get to do it from the back of a beautiful horse, with a group of likeminded people who just want to make the most of their experience.
These are the holidays that you can go on over and over and it’ll never be the same again.
