The following rides have been selected to sing out to lovers of the Kimberley, whether it was the swag camping, the scenery, the dates or the amazing ride partners that hooked you in. There’s even an exotic alternative to the Special Edition Kimberley Ride, for those who love a bit of luxury!
Cradle to Coast Ride Ride, Australia
Why you’ll love it: If you were hoping to go globetrotting in June or July, somewhere completely different from home but not too far away, the Cradle to Coast Ride in Tasmania ticks all the boxes. The diversity of the scenery you traverse in just four days will blow your mind.
Riding ability: Beginner to advanced.
Accommodation: Bakers Beach Homestead in Narawntapu National Park. Twin share rooms with a shared toilet and bathroom.
Length: 4 days, 3 nights (the 3 and 5 day itineraries are already sold out for 2023).
Dates: Saddle seats are still available in June and July 2023.
The Yellowstone Ride, USA
Why you’ll love it: This trip will feed your hunger for a remote camping trip and then some. Exploring the back country of Yellowstone National Park astride a Quarter Horse, with mules carrying your gear and expert guides leading the way? It’s cowboy heaven, and you won’t want to leave.
Riding ability: Intermediate to advanced.
Accommodation: Twin share rooms on night 1, then camping in two-man tents with a camp stretcher, thermarest pad, sleeping bag and small pillow. Long drop toilets and a river for bathing.
Length: 6 days, 5 nights.
Dates: Late June to early September 2023.
Craig’s Hut & High Country Ride, Australia
Why you’ll love it: Run by the same wonderful guides as our Kimberley rides, this holiday explores another extraordinary part of Australia oozing with mystique and rugged charm. Taking in Craig’s Hut from ‘The Man from Snowy River’, this ride is a rite of passage for all Aussie globetrotters.
Riding ability: Beginner to advanced.
Accommodation: Bush camping – swags and simple dome tents, with a hot shower and long drop toilet available each night.
Length: 6 day, 5 night and 8 day, 7 night itineraries are available.
Dates: Next season’s dates are yet to be announced, but the ride season is November through to March.
The Sumba Ride, Indonesia
Why you’ll love it: If The Special Edition Kimberley Ride was on your wish list, you will adore this holiday based at Nihi Sumba, named World’s Best Resort multiple times. The horse culture on this little-known island is extraordinary and there are countless activities and indulgences to experience!
Riding ability: Intermediate to advanced.
Accommodation: Luxury 5 star, air-conditioned villas with your own private pool, butler, private in-villa dining and daily laundry service.
Length: 5 days, 4 nights (option to book extra time at Nihi Sumba after your riding itinerary).

Rainbow Beach, Bush & Cattle Ride, Australia
Why you’ll love it: Based on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, this holiday combines trail rides through bush and farmland, the chance to try your hand at cattle work, glorious beach riding (and bareback swimming!), gourmet cuisine and glamping on top of your own private mountain.
Riding ability: Beginner to intermediate.
Accommodation: Luxury glamping tents with all bedding and towels provided. Hot camp showers and a long drop toilet are available.
Length: 5 days, 5 nights.
Dates: June and July 2023.
Rocky Mountains Ride, Canada
Why you’ll love it: All seven of the itineraries we offer in the Canadian Rockies pack a serious punch when it comes to scenery. There’s wildlife galore, a huge variety of landscapes, off-grid camping, and a sweet-as-maple-syrup team of guides and horses who know this region inside-out.
Riding ability: Intermediate to advanced.
Accommodation: A night or two at the ranch (twin share), and camping in two-man dome or canvas tents out on the trail. Your toilet will be a hole in the ground with a privacy screen, and there’ll be a river or lake to bathe in on some nights.
Length: 7, 8 and 10 day itineraries are available.
Dates: June to early October 2023.
The Marwari Ride, India
Why you’ll love it: Think the Kimberley is a different planet? Try India! Seeing beautiful Rajasthan through the curved ears of a native Marwari horse is an experience that will live on in your heart forever. We have six different itineraries to suit all timeframes, preferences and interests.
Riding ability: Strong intermediate to advanced.
Accommodation: Depending on your chosen itinerary, accommodation will be a mixture of heritage castles, palaces, traditional hotels, and tented camps with a full range of amenities.
Length: 7, 8, 12 and 13 day itineraries are available.
Dates: Custom dates are available year-round. The recommended season is October to March.
Khovsgol & Arhangay Rides, Mongolia
Why you’ll love it: If you’re looking to press the reset button on life, there is no better place than Mongolia. Whether you choose the 13 or the 19 day itinerary, you’ll fall into a blissful cycle of ‘eat, sleep, ride, repeat’ as you and your plucky Mongolian horse roam Chinggis Khan’s extraordinary homeland.
Riding ability: Beginner to advanced.
Accommodation: Hotels at the start and end of the trip; otherwise mostly tents, with some nights in ger camps (traditionally decorated 2-4 person gers for sleeping, a dining hut and very basic shower and toilet facilities).
Length: 13 and 19 day itineraries are available.
Dates: June and July 2023.
