‘I was a very nervous first-day rider, having not ridden much during my adult life. But once I had checked in to the amazing Cringletie Hotel and met some very friendly staff, I began to relax into my journey to the equestrian centre, where I met another nervous Globetrotter. We had a laugh before we mounted and just headed off on our first hack. I soon felt very at ease on my lovely, well-trained horse, Apollo. I wanted to take him home! I now know I have the confidence to venture abroad on a longer ride. I would also love to go back to Scotland next spring and do this same experience.’
