‘I have ridden in Scotland many times, but The Borders Escape was definitely in a league of its own. The horses are well trained, responsive, safe and love their job and environment. The freedom and adventure to be in a small group with breathtaking scenery and such amazing horses and people was awesome. Sylvia and John at Windlestraw House provided flawless hospitality with an immaculate and safe environment and meticulous attention to detail. The dining experience was second to none. They went out of their way to make me feel extremely welcome and at home. Gemma is one of the best guides I have ridden with – her knowledge of the area and horses within her care was exceptional. She was fun and supportive and really helped me to regain my confidence. I felt privileged to ride with her!
