Hannelie Van Der Klashorst recently shared her Yarra Valley photo album with us and the moments of peace and joy that she captured left us breathless. She was also kind enough to share her thoughts on what made this three day ride so very magical.

The Yarra Valley ride is definitely the best way to experience this beautiful part of Victoria. I was lucky enough to ride BB. He was so surefooted, especially on the steep, rocky and sometimes very muddy mountain tracks, and I always felt very safe with him. He was also eager to trot or canter, so all in all a fantastic horse!
The food was simple, but very tasty, and everything was freshly prepared and locally sourced. Stand-outs were the cheese platters and the bacon and eggs in the morning before going out for a ride. Another special treat was Vanessa’s wine tasting at the mountain hut on the third day – great presentation and a good choice of wines.
Clancy: What a great host! Very experienced and knowledgeable, not just about horse riding, but also about his environment, plants and trees, bird life, animals, etc. He’s also a good promoter and supporter of his local suppliers. He was friendly, welcoming and very attentive towards each person’s comfort and needs the entire time.
Catherine, Vanessa, Dick, the other support staff and even the children: everyone was absolutely amazing, extremely hardworking and they really spoiled us with great food, keeping everything clean and tidy, taking care of the horses, telling us stories, entertaining us and just making us feel like we were on holiday!
The highlight for me was sitting around a campfire on the evening of day two, with a drink in hand and reflecting on a great day!
