When and how did you find Shiloh?
We found Shiloh in March 2019. The person I bought him off rescued him from a sad situation; he was neglected, depressed and full of ulcers. She brought him back to life and was very picky about who would take him on. We met, and clicked instantly.
How does he fit in with your herd?
Shiloh is our fearless leader on the trail. Shiloh will go where no other will! He is a quintessential braveheart.
What do ride guests most love about Shiloh?
Guests love that Shiloh is a total work horse. He aims to please, is full of safe, fun energy and gives his rider a sensational ride.
As guides, what do you most love about him?
Shiloh is confident, 100% safe and is up for everything and anything. He leads the team when some members are unsure; he is an unflappable, reliable and tough little horse.
What are some of Shiloh’s idiosyncrasies?
Shiloh and Drover are so close, we call them The Twins! They eat from each others’ buckets, they are always together and are just so beautiful with one another. Weirdly, though, on the trail Shiloh is happiest at the front and Drover at the back, and if we take one out without the other, they are totally fine with it. They are soul brothers, but it’s a healthy relationship.
Is there a stand-out story, or anything else we should know about Shiloh?
Shiloh was also a top little endurance horse and he loves adventure; he has taken Drover on two little escapes around our local area, much to Drover’s distaste.
